Thales is pleased to inform you of the successful rocket firing with Forges de Zeebrugge (FZ) versatile 2.75'' / 70mm rocket system.

Upon receiving the first shipment of the FZ Rocket System, the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) supported by a team of Destini Prima Sdn Bhd (DPSB) and FZ technical representatives have successfully conducted live firing of the 2.75'' / 70mm rockets on Boeing F/A-18D Hornet and BAE Systems Hawk Mk108/Mk208 aircraft at the Kuantan firing range in February 2015.

"The demonstration was a great success." commented both the Commanding Officers of the No. 6 and No. 18 Squadrons. “All fired rockets hit their targets with a high degree of reliability”.

The rockets were fired from LAU32 and LAU51 launchers fitted to Boeing F/A-18D Hornet and BAE Systems Hawk Mk108/Mk208 aircraft.

Designed to carry up to 7 or 19 rockets respectively, the reusable and maintainable rocket launchers guarantee high performance, low life-cycle costs, long service life, reduced integration works and minimal maintenance requirements.
