A H215M heavy helicopter, a member of the Super Puma family, has been demonstrating its 70mm/2.75” rocket system capabilities during a firing campaign held in Belgium.
The H215M (also known as AS532AL+) helicopter successfully fired Forges de Zeebrugge (FZ) 70mm rockets to carry out certification firing trials.
The H215M is a nine-tonne-class rotorcraft from Airbus Helicopters’ Cougar/Super Puma family equipped with FZ rocket systems including a M159 19-tube rocket launcher.
The final delivery of these H215M by Airbus Helicopters to the end user in Asia is foreseen mid-2016 providing helicopters to its defence forces answering to the challenging demands in today's missions and offering new capabilities.
The H215M can be used for a wide range of military operations including utility, reconnaissance, search and rescue, armed scout, troop transport and medical evacuation.
