Ground-to-Ground

Ground-to-ground firing of 70mm rockets is often performed for testing and training purposes of longer range missile  (especially due to unavailable firing ranges or their restricted safety template especially in dense population area) such as e.g. MRLS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) or GMLRS (Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System).

There are also military vehicles such as Rheinmetall Mission Master, URO Vamtac or JohnCockerill equipped with a 70mm/2.75'' rocket system.

It can also used with a rocket launcher mounted on a tripod such as the Fletcher LAND-LGR4 rocket launcher from US-manufacturer Arnold Defense.
